Electricity Nazi

Got the electric bill this weekend....$540.00. Say what? Yes, $540. Never in my life. Shocking? Devastating? No. It just flat pisses me off and I will win.

The problem is Hubs. Our roles are reversed. He is cold and I am hot. (hehee giggle...I am hot) He gets a slight chill and cranks up the heater to 72 which to me is completely unbearable. Hot air blowing around is utterly intolerable in my opinion. I blame this neurosis of mine on growing up in Houston. I feel like I can't breath when the heater is filling my lungs with hot air.

(It has been cold outside, I understand the need for a little heat, I really do.)

#2. Hubs and b.r. got in the hot tub last month. Had to let it run for like 3 days to heat up and then left it on for another week, assuming they would get in again. The @#$% pool pump comes on automatically when the temp falls to keep the pool from freezing or whatever. You know what I say, let that bad boy freeze. Fill it with dirt. You all know how I loathe anything around here that has a pump or requires chlorine or salt. Bain of my existence.

#3 I had to run the heater in the quilty shack when it was frigid. I can't have the pipes bursting in there. A tragic disaster that would be. So scratch #3, it is ok if the quilty shack burns electricity.

I am the electricity nazi now. Cranked the heater down, I sure did.

These chumps will be glad they got Snuggies for Christmas now....

Hubs being theatrically thrilled with his Snuggie....

Mmmmhmmmm, who's laughing about the Snuggie now? (BTW, the people who invented the Snuggie are laughing all the way to the bank, right?)

So the heater is turned down. We'll live. We had a fire in the fireplace last night. Good, warm. Fire and Super Bowl go very well together. I could really give a flip about the S.B. or football in general for that matter. But you have to watch it, you know? Otherwise you'll be the odd man out around the water cooler the next day. I only love my college team and will faithfully watch them play. I guess that is because the memories of going to those games warms my heart and what was in the flask at those games warmed my heart too. Anywhoo, back to the SB. I think The Who still has it. They rocked and I was happy about that. Rock-n-Roll forever baby.

So here it is Monday, my day off by the way. I am happily at home. It is cold outside and 62 in the house. Guess what? I am cold.

Here's a little secret I can share with you... shhhhh.... don't tell anyone!!!

When I'm at home alone, I crank the heat up as much as I want, until I get warm...then when the rest of the gang comes in, I turn the heat DOWN and tell them to keep their clothes on or wear their snuggies! LOL

So far I'm staying nice and toasty! LOL

Then you will know more about it so you can make an smart decision and move forward with confidence.

The general difficulties of women's and men's fashion

Both women and men can have the difficulties of maintaining their wardrobe up-to-date and in time, yet men's fashion frequently feels a lot less complicated. Of course, for both genders, clothes and style choices can be just as elaborate, and there are several'modern'items which could rapidly become fashion faux pas - who are able to say they often times see people walking around in 70s flares? On the other side, men's style includes a few staple items which will exist eternally - which man is likely to keep an eye out of position with a good-quality, tailored suit, for instance? Select classic pieces, colors and fabrics and you'll never seem out-of-place.

Why basic men's fashion is amazing

The classic man's suit has barely changed for over a hundred years. True, there are many types for various occasions, nevertheless they are all popular in their quest for a wise, sharp search for the individual. The good thing about classic style for men is that it is effectively elegant efficiently cool. A well-groomed gentleman will almost always look his sharpest in a well-tailored suit, and this can be a testament to the design of such clothing. A suit will be used to work in many professions due to the professional look it affords to the wearer, instilling a sense of respect and confidence. Equally a match will be worn to several social functions, such as a tuxedo to a black-tie event. This incredible flexibility which allows matches to be utilized in almost all functions is what gives it its timeless edge and a lasting devote men's fashion.

Modern movements in classic men's fashion

Whilst classic men's styles will never be changed, it's interesting to remember that shifts in men's fashion trends have brought certain common clothes back in fashion. The acceptance of vintage clothing, specially, has brought back a wide-variety of common models into men's closets, such as that of the dandy man. 'Dandy'is a term used to refer to men who dress yourself in a classic yet extravagant way, placing value on appearance and acting in a polished approach. This development for almost'over-the-top'traditional fashion for men is evident from events like the'Tweed Run', wherever men and girls of all ages clothe themselves in obviously Victorian-style outfit and take to the roads on vintage bikes - with many of the men sporting flawless mustaches! This is just one of several samples of evidence displaying the revival of such designs. Additionally, there are numerous blogs on the web which focus on gentlemanly style - such as'The Dandy Project'and'Dandyism'- as well as whole internet sites such as'The Art of Manliness'specialized in giving articles on common men's fashion and grooming.

In summary, though certain facets of basic men's fashion could be brought back as new trends, the basic clothes that they are derived from will never fall out of fashion.
